Week 2 - PEACE
As we close out this week on the GREAT NEWS of Peace, it is appropriate that you leave your community with a sense of security in the peace that comes through Jesus Christ. This age-old benediction found in Numbers is a beautiful way to end the week and encourage your community in peace. Praying this benediction - as well as the prayer in the caption recommendation - is a great idea to close out this week and declare peace over your community.
God's peace is for you. It is with you. It is meant to be spread to the world around you. As you go into this weekend, rest in the peace of God over your life. Pray for God's peace in the lives of those around you who are battling fear and anxiety. Use this prayer from St Francis of Assisi:
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.
O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; it is in dying that we are born again to eternal life. - ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI
